Hey Gents! It's been a while since we had a proper Tech Session event and we've lined up a really cool one for you all!
Mike and Scott of Stone Pro Services are going to host us to do a demonstration of their Chemical Free Dry Ice Blasting service. If you haven't seen it before you can check out their Instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/stoneproservices/ They'll be demoing the service and show you the amazing results that can be achieved with dry ice blasting. They'll also be offering a 10% discount on any services booked the day of over $250. You guys won't want to miss this and see what can be done for your classic or even modern BMW. Parking will be updated the day of the event. There will also be refreshments at the event. BMW CCA Fall Drive and BBQ - Saturday September 14th 10:30AM

This is it! Its time for the CCA fall drive out to Evanston. This event has garnered a lot of interested and excitement. It's going to be a great time! We will meet at the South end of Trappers Loop Road (UT 167) across the street from the Sinclair at 10:30AM. As a group we will depart at 11:00AM heading north over Trappers Loop. We will then head over the Wasatch mountains via Highway 39. Trappers Loop and Highway 39 are great driving roads with amazing views and vistas. We will stop at the Monte Cristo Scenic Overlook and get some group photos! Our route will take us through the towns of Woodruff and Bear River before we arrive at Dan Ernst's house in Evanston. We should arrive around 12:30PM. Once we reach Dan's house we will have a BBQ as he has been gracious and offered to host! Food will be provided, options are as follows, Brats, Burgers, and Veggie Burgers if requested. Anyone who cannot make the drive but would still enjoy the BBQ is welcome to meet us there! For our Wyoming members, we would love to see you! Important information below: We are asking that only CCA members and their guests attend this event When we get into Dan's neighborhood please be respectful of his neighbors Unless otherwise posted, speed limit in Evanston is 20mph. We will be doing our Octoberfest cruise with members of the X Chapter this year. They are driving across the country and doing events with all the local chapters, in celebration of the 25 year anniversary of the X5 Will will be meeting at the UTA Park and Ride at 9400 South and Highland Dr. on Saturday, September 24th at 11:30AM. We will leave for Snowbird at Noon. We will do our best to go up as a group and we'll meet at Snowbird for awesome photography opportunities! If you have an X car, especially an E53, bring it out in celebration! CCA Members parking at Oktoberfest will be paid for by the Chapter. Hey all! Join us this month for a fun drive up Emigration and Parleys canyons! We will be meeting at This Is the Place Park in the parking lot next to the Brigham Young Farm House (2610 Sunnyside Ave S, Salt Lake City, UT 84108) .
We will be leaving This Is The Place Park promptly at 10:30am where we will head up Emigration Canyon. When we get to the Highway 65 (East Canyon Road), we will turn right and head towards I80. We will then get on I80 Eastbound and head up and over Parleys Summit until we get off at Exit 141. Lunch will be at Billy Blanco's. Its a fun restaurant with a lot of cool automotive memorabilia! He is planning on doing a scenic drive back into Salt Lake City. This drive is not part of the official Wasatch BMW CCA event. |

Five Mile Pass - Rush Valley - Bonneville Brewery Drive: Saturday, May 18 3:30PM

It's finally warming up, and the roads are clear and calling our names! So get those cars ready, let's take a drive, and finish at an awesome restaurant! We're going to be meeting at the UTA Park & Ride in American Fork and heading out from there. We'll be taking a really nice scenic drive over Five Mile Pass and through Rush Valley. We'll end up at the Bonneville Brewery and Restaurant. At some point, we'll stop for pictures along the route; so get those cars looking good!
We'll be meeting at the UTA Park & Ride in American Fork at 3:30 pm and departing at 4 pm sharp. Start with a full tank of gas. There's a gas station and convenience store right next to the meet point. Consider bringing your favorite hydration supplies. There has been a lot of interest in getting our BMW's on the track already this year. The Porsche Club has extended an invitation to our members to join them for their April Track Events. These are PCA events not BMWCCA events, but we are welcome and encouraged to participate.
The PCA has two types of track events, Autocross and High Performance Driver Education. Both events are held at Utah Motorsports Campus. Below are the links to the registration pages. Please read the registration page carefully and ensure you understand the requirements. We want to be sure to be great participants!

The weather is getting warmer and the canyon is calling our names! So let's get out and enjoy some crisp morning air with a fun little Canyon drive up Big Cottonwood Canyon. We'll stop at Silver Fork Lodge for Brunch, then head back down. Plan on meeting at the bottom of Big Cottonwood Canyon just past the lights at the overflow lot at 10:30am. (If the lot is full, you can park on the side of the street.) We'll be leaving promptly at 11am. We'll see ya all there then! It's finally warming up, and the roads are clear and calling our names! So Sunday May 19th, get those cars ready, let's take a drive, and finish at an awesome restaurant! We're going to be meeting at the UTA Park & Ride in American Fork and heading out from there. We'll be taking a really nice scenic drive over Five Mile Pass, through Rush Valley, Grantsville, Skull Valley, and Johnson Pass. We'll end up at the Bonneville Brewery and Restaurant. At some point, we'll stop for pictures along the route; so get those cars looking good!
We'll be meeting at the UTA Park & Ride in American Fork (57 N 80, American Fork, UT 84003) at 2 PM and departing at 2:30 sharp. Start with a full tank of gas. There's a gas station and convenience store right next to the meet point. Consider bringing your favorite hydration supplies. |

Exciting News! Mike Miller, Roundel Technical Editor and author of TECH TALK, will give the Chapter a presentation on BMW maintenance which will include a question and answer session. His Lifetime Maintenance Schedule for BMWs will be part of this Live Tech Talk.
This will be a one time opportunity for Wasatch Chapter members to hear Mike Miller in person and ask specific questions relating to the care of your BMW. Your BMW CCA dues are covering his speaking fee, so come out and take advantage of this unique opportunity. Hey everyone! Come join us at our first Tech Session of the year! Our Board Member Tyler Seawright will be hosting this session at HARRISON IMPORTS. The session should be based on direct injection and it's benefits/ side effects. Which will include a touch on walnut blasting. Direct injection is something that obviously is important for a lot of us and Walnut blasting is becoming more and more important with the newer Turbocharged engines. So come up and learn all about it. After there will be some finger foods or possibly pizza. See you all then!

We'll be meeting at the Olympus Hills Shopping Center at 9:30am and leaving at 10am on the dot.
